Business has changed (a lot!)
In 1955 the average price of a new car was $1,950, the Mickey Mouse Club debuted on ABC, and a quart of milk cost $0.21. Also in 1955, on October 20th, Frank Lovsin and his two partners from Edson (father/son duo), Frank and Leo Resek, opened a small butcher shop in Hinton, Alberta.
Freson Bros. Today
Recognizing the commitment of the original partners and the vision of Frank Lovsin to build a strong foundation and respond to the need for growth, the company has shown success adapting to the changing competitive marketplace.
His adage, “The only constant is change,” is as true today as it was over sixty years ago. Hard work, creative grit, and integrity have been guiding principles for Freson Bros. since the beginning. Connecting with family and the comfort of home, supporting our communities, and celebrating our heritage have, and will continue to be, the soul of this company.
As we move forward, we're excited to offer new ideas and products in the world of food. Expanding into pizza and healthy choice items are just the beginning of version 1.5 for Freson Bros.
