70th Anniversary

Celebrating 70 Years of Freson Bros.: A Legacy of Community, Growth, and Tradition

For seven decades, Freson Bros. has been a cornerstone of Alberta’s communities, a family-owned business built on the values of hard work, innovation, and a deep connection to the people we serve. This milestone marks a journey of growth, resilience, and gratitude—a story that began in 1955 and continues to thrive thanks to our loyal customers, dedicated team members, and supportive communities.

Our Humble Beginnings

In 1955, Freson Bros. was founded by Frank Lovsin and his partners in the small but spirited community of Hinton, Alberta. What started as a single modest Butcher shop quickly became a trusted gathering place for families, friends, and neighbours. Guided by a commitment to quality products and exceptional service, the store flourished, laying the foundation for a future of possibilities.

Building a Legacy: One Store at a Time

Over the years, Freson Bros. expanded across Alberta, with each new location carrying the same values of hospitality, innovation, and community focus.

Through every expansion, the heart of Freson Bros. remains the same: a commitment to making every visit a memorable experience.

The People Behind the Success

At Freson Bros., our people have always been our greatest strength. From the founder to the generations of Team Members who have become part of the Freson Bros. family, we owe our success to their dedication, passion, and hard work.

This 70-year journey wouldn’t be possible without the countless team members who have ensured every shelf is stocked, every product is fresh, and every customer leaves with a smile.

To our loyal customers: You are the reason we have thrived for 70 years. Your trust and support inspire us every day to do better, to be better.

A Celebration of Community and Tradition

As we celebrate our 70th anniversary, we look back with gratitude and forward with excitement. We remain committed to staying true to our roots while embracing the future of Alberta’s food culture.

Throughout 2025, we’ll be hosting special events, promotions, and community initiatives to commemorate this milestone. Together, let’s celebrate the history, the people, and the traditions that make Freson Bros. more than a food store—it’s a part of your family.
